Experimental Study of a Small-Size Vacuum Insulated Water Tank for Building Applications

Insulation of thermal energy storage tanks is fundamental to reduce heat losses and achieve high efficiency. Although water were extensively studied in the literature, enhancement insulation quality often overlooked. The use vacuum has potential significantly without affecting dimension system. This paper shows for first time results tests done a 0.535 m3 tank residential building applications built with double wall insulation. different show that rate strictly depends on temperature distribution inside at beginning experiment.
